Are hook-mounted GoPro cameras allowed by OSHA for blind lifting operations?

OSHA-004 · Compliance
OSHA does not specifically prohibit hook-mounted cameras, but they must not interfere with crane operations or create additional hazards.
OSHA regulations do not explicitly ban hook-mounted GoPro cameras for blind lifting operations. However, any camera system must comply with general crane safety requirements under OSHA 1926 Subpart CC. The camera and mounting system cannot interfere with the hook's load capacity, create swing hazards, or obstruct the load block's operation.
