What does Tadano AML error W0023 stopped due to overload mean?

TR-102 · Troubleshooting
Tadano AML error W0023 indicates the crane has exceeded its rated lifting capacity and automatically stopped operation to prevent structural damage or tipping.
The W0023 overload warning on Tadano AML (Automatic Moment Limiter) systems activates when the crane's load moment exceeds the programmed safe working limits. This safety system continuously monitors the actual load versus the crane's capacity at the current boom angle, radius, and configuration. When triggered, the AML immediately stops all functions that could increase the load moment, including hoisting up, boom down, and extending the boom.
Reference: ASME B30.5 Mobile and Locomotive Cranes safety standard
Remember: W0023 = "Weight Over capacity, Operations Stop, Safety Triggered" - always check load limits before lifting.
