Why are outrigger sensors failing on Tadano rough terrain cranes?

TR-110 · Troubleshooting
Tadano outrigger sensors fail due to water ingress, cable damage, and contamination from construction debris affecting proximity switches.
Water ingress is the primary cause of outrigger sensor failure on Tadano rough terrain cranes. The proximity switches and associated wiring are exposed to harsh jobsite conditions, allowing moisture to penetrate electrical connections and cause corrosion. This is particularly problematic in the lower sensor housings where water can pool.
